Call to clean…
Good to see ‘I CLEAN THE THAMES’ floating near the Wobbly Bridge on my home river:

The message catches the eye while the medium catches the litter! It’s a welcome improvement on an earlier anodyne descriptor and part of a broader initiative to encourage more people to get involved in cleaning the Thames. Bearing this in mind, I’d like to suggest a further enhancement to the words:
‘HELP ME CLEAN THE THAMES’
With a simple tweak, a self-referential statement of fact becomes an engaging call to action – a call to clean the river together.
It’s a critical task, not least because over 80% of the plastics in the world’s oceans come from the world’s rivers. Beyond London, others are also rising to the challenge, including the excellent CLEAR RIVERS, where I’m very happy and proud to say my daughter is currently working as an intern.
